We ensure service user’s are cared for in a dignified manner

ProCare Nursing take the topic of dignity very seriously when it comes to our service user’s.

We provide care packages that are tailored to the needs of service user’s. If service user’s require a specific service then we make sure we meet that need, here is an example.

We often get service user’s who prefer care workers to turn up to appointments in normal clothing and not in their uniforms, this is sometimes because service user’s can be elderly and they want to retain their dignity and pride, they do not want people to see they are receiving private care. For ProCare Nursing this is not a problem, we ensure that if service user’s request plainly clothed support workers, then they get exactly that.

We also get requests from service user’s on how they are addressed, for example elderly service user’s like to be addressed as Miss Jones, or Mrs Jones, they may not like to be called by their first name, this is due to the culture they were brought up in, this again is not a problem for us here at ProCare Nursing, we ensure that all of our care support workers respect the values of service user’s.

Another important point to raise is the dignified care we deliver for service user’s with Mental Health conditions. We ensure we provide excellent care for those with Mental Health conditions that help sustain their way of life, and ensuring they live dignified lives.

We provide excellent training to all of our care support workers from our own in-house facility. Delivering thorough in-house training means our care workers are fully equipped to provide care to service user’s who have a range of diverse care requirements.

We also have award winning care support workers. In 2017 we put forward one of our senior care support workers for an award at the Wales Care Awards, Sara walked away with the “Excellence in Dementia Care Award”, here is Sara pictured furthest right with her award along with her certificate.

This shows that we are an agency that strives for excellence when delivering care to service user’s. One of our most important objectives is to ensure that service user’s lead dignified lives.
